Amy Wheeler
I believe that every one of us is here doing the best we can and that we each have unique strengths, talents, and qualities that make us the individual we are. That’s the attitude I bring to working with my clients — yes you’re coming to me because you want to improve something, but let’s do it within the context of remembering and appreciating your abilities, gifts and whole being.

Bio
I came to healing later in life after being an artist for many years. It was becoming a parent that led me to realize that while I loved the creativity of the arts, I wanted to impact people’s lives more directly & to work closely one-on-one with adults and children. And I found when I was directly participating in positive change, life was more meaningful (and I was happier!). And while it may sound a little surprising, I find my years as an artist give me the ability to look at things with fresh eyes & a fresh perspective.
I learned about Brain Integration Technique (BIT) back in 2010 and found from personal experience that it WORKED — both for my son (who was 5 at the time) with anxiety and dyslexia, and for my own PTSD, anxiety and auditory processing issues. I liked the results so much I decided to learn it myself. I studied directly with Susan McCrossin, one of the technique's inventors. In addition I took the advanced coursework — Brain Physiology and Advanced BIT — which enables me to develop detailed, customized treatments specific to clients’ needs.

After ten years of focusing primarily on the Brain Integration Technique, I began to add in additional energy healing modalities such as Independent Reiki, Quantum Touch and Yin Energy Healing. Most recently, struck by the need for deeper bodily & sensory integration particularly in my autistic clients, I developed my own treatments based on my research and practical experience with clients. I call this the Kin Qi Method.
Finally, in every session I bring my own intuition and deep listening to make sure I’m sensing precisely what each individual needs.
Methods I Use
Brain Integration Technique
2012
The Brain Integration Technique (BIT) was designed specifically to treat learning challenges by addressing them at a neurological level, thus providing permanent change. Beginning in 2012, I was trained personally by one of the creators of the method, Susan McCrossin, and then certified after taking the advanced coursework in brain physiology and completing numerous case studies. During treatment, I look carefully at how your brain is processing information, as well as how your senses are communicating with your brain.

Energy Work: Quantum Touch & Yin Energy Healing
2013 & 2023
I trained in Quantum Touch Levels 1 & 2 in 2013 with Tyler Odysseus. In 2023, I re-took Quantum Touch to refresh my knowledge and delve deeper; and I also studied his Yin Energy Healing. In addition to studying these methods, I’ve developed my own energy healing methods based on extensive meditative research & practical experience with my clients.
Breath and Voice Work
2020
Based on the teachings of the yogi Sadhguru and my initiation into the Shambhavi Mahamudra Kriya, I’ve developed accessible and simple methods to bring the power of breath and voice into my treatments. Most often used in conjunction with BIT, Kin Qi Method, or Independent Reiki, I’ve found that breath and voice work can accelerate the healing of these methods and in particular help complete the Qi Circuit during treatment.
Independant Reiki
2022
I studied with Tim Chambers over the course of a year, this included hands-on practice work. I was certified as a Twelve-Level Mind Power Activation Reiki Master in December of 2022.
Kin Qi Method
2021 - present
Struck by the need for deeper bodily & sensory integration especially in my autistic clients, I’ve developed my own treatments based on research and my years of practical experience. Using the acupoints of Classical Chinese Medicine to access physical and energetic pathways, the Kin Qi Method has shown itself to be particularly good for helping people be more grounded and present in their body & surroundings.
